my (not so green) green juice

Hello!

I know I haven’t been consistent with my blog posts so I’ve decided to keep a schedule for when my posts go up. You can expect to see a post every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. (Unless otherwise stated) There have been so many events that I didn’t blog about, like the Louis Vuitton Cruise Show or the Christian Dior Cruise Show. I also have a whole bunch of songs that I’ve been meaning to share, so I’ll keep you updated you on that!

So, I’ve been pretty busy these days and one drink that I can always make whenever I’m in a rush is my green juice.  I usually stop by Nekter to fulfill my green juice cravings, but when I don’t have time I usually make it at home with a new recipe every time.

Green juices are great because you can pretty much throw in any vegetable or fruit, blend it, and voilà! You just made your very own green juice. (In this case, would it be considered a smoothie…?)

This time I included spinach, kale, berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries), and frozen bananas.

(No, I did not blend the roses into my smoothie. It was only there for decoration 🙂 )

Kale and Spinach (otherwise known as the Popeye effect 🙂 ) are great because it’s chock-full of vitamins and nutrients that our bodies heavily depend on, such as: Vitamin A, Vitamin K, Vitamin C, Iron, Magnesium, Calcium… The list goes on.

A few things that bananas are capable of doing for our bodies are: reducing the risk of cancer and asthma, maintaining low blood pressure, and promoting heart health etc… The same goes for berries, especially blueberries, which are high in antioxidants to help boost your immune system and help with weight loss etc…

This is the final outcome! I know I said I would be making a green juice, but I promise you.. This is a green juice. The color from the blueberries changed the color a bit, but the taste is still amazing! 🙂 Try making your own green juice and reap the benefits. It may take a little time getting used to the taste, especially if you aren’t fond of vegetables, but I promise you it’s a great step towards a healthier lifestyle ❤
